Ashok Leyland reports over two fold jump in Q2 net profit

Ashok Leyland has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company has reported over two fold jump in its net profit at Rs 286.81 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 120.69 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 52.86% to Rs 4966.20 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3248.94 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
