5.80 (0.63%) HDFC Bank, the second-largest private sector bank in India, has become the first Indian bank to launch Sonic branding (Musical Logo). The branding will be used across multiple touch points like ATMs, phone banking, mobile banking and the bank's website. The bank will soon tie up with telecom operators to make its musical logo or MOGO available as caller tunes and ringtones to customers.
The sonic branding will help the bank to create distinct brand imagery and recall among various stakeholders. The intention is to create an emotional engagement among various stakeholders ranging from a farmer in rural India to urban city dweller and from a government employee to a corporate one.
HDFC Bank is one of India’s premier banks providing a wide range of financial products and services to its 32 million customers across hundreds of Indian cities using multiple distribution channels including a pan-India network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking. As of June 30, 2015, the bank had a distribution network with 4,101 branches and 11,962 ATMs.
