Physical Rubber prices showed some improvement on Monday

Physical Rubber prices made some improvement on Monday as the market firmed up on covering purchases at lower levels. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety surged to Rs 101.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 101/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety jumped to 98/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 97.50/kg.

In the futures market, contract of January delivery slid marginally to Rs 103.71 compared to its previous closing of Rs 103.96, while February delivery closed at Rs 105.40 compared to its previous close of Rs 105.11 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
