Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd.

Power Grid Corporation of India has emerged as the lowest bidder for two transmission projects worth Rs 2,800 crore, beating private sector majors like Larsen & Toubro, IVRCL, Sterlite Grid, KEC International and NCC. This is the first time PGCIL participated in the competitive bids for transmission projects. It has beaten bluechip private sector rivals by a margin of over 50% in one project and 30% in the other with aggressive bids. The bids show that PGCIL has calibrated their business and come up with a more proactive strategy.
