-400.85 (-2.75%) Maruti Suzuki India, country’s largest car maker, has reported 12.97% rise in its production to 1,07,773 units in December 2015 as compared to 95,400 units in same month last year. Of total, the company manufactured 37,787 vehicles under mini segment (including Alto, A Star, Wagon R) in December 2015, as against 38,684 vehicles manufactured in corresponding month previous year. The company manufactured 46,536 vehicles under Compact segment; 5,643 vehicles under Super Compact and Midsize; 6,924 units under Utility Vehicles segment and 10,883 units under Vans category.
Recently, the company registered a rise of 8.5% in its total car sales (Domestic + Export) for the month of December 2015 at 119,149 units, as against 109,791 units in 2014. The company’s domestic sales rose by 13.5% in December 2015 at 111,333 units, as against 98,109 units in corresponding month last year.
