NTPC, the country's largest power producer, is planning to set up a 4000MW power plant at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. The company is also planning to set up a 2,250 MW solar power plant in the same state. With these new power plants, Andhra Pradesh state could overcome a huge power crisis and become a power surplus state.
