-0.85 (-0.06%) Reliance Industries has made a natural gas discovery in the very first well drilled on its D9 block in the Krishna Godavari basin off the east coast of India. The resource potential of the block is now estimated at 5.2 trillion cubic feet (tcf) (worth $20 bn) by RIL's minority partner Hardy Oil. The D-6 block, its biggest find till now, has proven reserves of 11.3 tcf and has been developed with investments of $ 9 billion.
