Container Corporation of India slips on reporting 32% fall in Q3 net profit

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) is currently trading at Rs. 1212.50, down by 0.35 points or 0.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 1212.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1188.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1223.25 and Rs. 1175.10 respectively. So far 9,868 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1944.00 on 01-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1125.00 on 19-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1241.15 and Rs. 1150.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23,640.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.79% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.53% and 3.68% respectively.

The company has reported 31.54% fall in its net profit at Rs 206.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 301.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 3.33% to Rs 1485.86 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1537.01 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. 

Container Corporation of India was established in 1988 and works mainly in three verticals -- cargo terminal, terminal operator and warehouse operator.
