NTPC has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2015.

The company has reported 18.90% fall in its net profit at Rs 2492.87 crore for the third quarter as compared to Rs 3074.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Its total income has decreased by 8.84% to Rs 17657.99 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 19371.33 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
