Physical Rubber prices extended weakness on Friday

Physical rubber prices extended weakness on Friday on buyer resistance in the market. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety dropped to Rs 94/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 94.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety dipped to Rs 90/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 90.50/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of February delivery declined to Rs 95.91 compared to its previous closing of Rs 96.10, while March delivery closed at Rs 97.99 compared to its previous close of Rs 98.26 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
