Sterlite Technologies has received a contract worth Rs 114 crore from BSNL to build a broadband network for the state-run telecom operator. Sterlite will install and commission a central office broadband system in all telecom service areas of the public sector company by 2013 and manage the network for seven years. Sterlite manufactures optic fibre cables and has over the past three years developed software capability to install entire enterprise networks.
