Dr Reddy’s launches generic dementia drug in US
Date: 23-09-2011Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched Rivastigmine Tartrate capsules in the US market. The capsules are a bioequivalent generic version of Exelon capsules (of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation) in the US market. They are indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate dementia of the Alzheimer’s type. The Exelon brand and generic rivastigmine tartrate had U.S. sales of approximately $92.6 million for the most recent twelve months ending June 2011.
