HDFC Bank trades higher on the bourses

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 985.90, up by 12.55 points or 1.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 973.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 996.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 996.00 and Rs. 975.50 respectively. So far 9343 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1127.90 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 944.70 on 07-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1058.10 and Rs. 966.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 245877.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.06% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.57% and 21.37% respectively.

HDFC Bank has opened three new branches in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The new branches are located in urban areas and will offer customers a full range of HDFC Bank's world-class banking solutions to meet the needs of the local population. HDFC Bank now has a network of 30 branches in Jaipur. With the opening of three new branches, the bank now has 62% of its branch network dedicated to semi urban and rural areas of Rajasthan.

At a national level, HDFC Bank has 55% of its branches in semi-urban and rural areas and is continuously extending its reach in the hinterland in its endeavour to support inclusive growth. As of December 31, 2015, the Bank had a distribution network with 4,281 branches and 11,843 ATMs in 2505 cities.
