NMDC trades higher on the bourses

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 89.90, up by 0.10 points or 0.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 90.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 91.60 and Rs. 88.45 respectively. So far 1040657 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 146.15 on 16-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 75.20 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.75 and Rs. 75.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35860.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.56% and 2.43% respectively.

NMDC has reported 58.88% fall in its net profit at Rs 655.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 1593.01 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 44.16% to Rs 1938.42 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3471.19 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
