SBI trades high on the BSE

State Bank of India (SBI) is currently trading at Rs. 156.80, up by 0.40 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 156.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 155.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 159.25 and Rs. 151.40 respectively. So far 3205516 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 315.80 on 04-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 148.30 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 171.00 and Rs. 148.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 121797.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.12% and 9.51% respectively.

SBI has launched 'Japan Desk' in New Delhi. Japan Desk will serve as a one-stop shop for both, Japanese companies looking to invest in India and Indian companies exploring outbound investments into Japan. It will facilitate in the establishment of banking relationship with Japanese corporates and Japanese nationals, provide information on industries, sectors etc.

The bank is also planning to set up another dedicated Japan Desk in Chennai. Further, the bank has also requests from South Korea to have a dedicated help desk and the bank may look at setting up a desk for that country also.
