Coal India (CIL) is planning to increase its coal production to 1,000 million tonne (mt) in the next four years through the use of latest environment-friendly technology. The estimated production planned by CIL during 2019-20 is 908.10 mt.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
