Tata Motors dips on announcement of 1% tax on luxury goods and cars

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 298.00, down by 4.20 points or 1.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 302.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 302.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 305.55 and Rs. 290.45 respectively. So far 451522 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 594.14 on 02-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 266.00 on 11-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 324.95 and Rs. 296.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 87193.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.01% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.04% and 25.95% respectively.

Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley in its Union Budget 2016-17 proposed 1% tax on luxury goods and cars.
