Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd.

Production was hit at Dr Reddy's Laboratories Srikakulam unit in Andhra Pradesh for the past 3-4 days as some workers are on a strike. There is no production at the unit as most of the employees and workers in all 13 production blocks are participating in the strike. The production is made based out of orders and loss of production cannot be quantified. The unit, which manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients, has about 700 employees on its rolls besides about 300-350 contract workers. Protests were triggered after the number of contract workers was scaled down to about 85 recently.
