Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported a growth of 57.25% in total sales in February at 5,032 units as against 3,200 units in the same month last year.
The company has sold 4,936 units of Eicher-branded trucks and buses in February compared with 3,100 units in the corresponding month last year, up 59.22%. Volvo trucks recorded a marginal decline in sales at 96 units in last month as compared with 100 units in February 2015.
In the domestic market, sales of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 4,264 units in February compared with 2,774 units in the year-ago month, up 53.7%, while exports of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 672 units in February as against 326 units in the same month last year, a growth of 106.1%.
