Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has received an approval for transfer of entire equity held by the company in Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) to the Government of India (GoI) at the agreed purchase consideration. The board of directors at its meeting held on March 09, 2016 has approved for the same.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
