Date: 20-12-2011Nestle India Ltd, a subsidiary ofNestle SA, the Swiss major in food and beverages, plans to invest nearly Rs 500crore on a mainly Maggie noodles and confectionery-manufacturing plant inGujarat next year. This would be the eighth plant of Nestle India in thecountry. The manufacturing is expected to start in 2014-15
It also has Bihar on its radar forthe ninth plant as part of its aggressive business expansion policy in thewestern and eastern States by doubling capacities. So far, Nestle India hasfocused on the southern and northern States for dairy and beverages divisions
