The price is expected to be below Rs 1 lakh. The new motorbike takes DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark-ignition) technology, introduced in 2003, to another level with a SOHC 4-valve triple spark engine controlled by an advanced electronic control unit for better performance. The bike has liquid cooling and a six speed gear box. The Pulsar will be manufactured at the company's plant at Chakan near Pune, which has a capacity of producing 1,00,000 units per month. The company plans to launch more models in 2012 and hopes to increase market share to 32 per cent from the present 26 per cent in Indian motorcycle market over the next few years.
