Titan Industries trades in pink of its health on the bourses

Titan Industries is currently trading at Rs 237.40, up by 4.90 points or 2.11% from its previous closing of Rs 232.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 233.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs 239.60 and Rs 231.95 respectively. So far 91208 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 254.95 on 21-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 154.40 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 252.40 and Rs 225.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 21044.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.46% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.06% and 27.48% respectively.

Titan Industries’ third major line of business Titan Eye Plus has opened store in Hubli. This store is located on Lamington Road near Hubli Corporation. The store was inaugurated by Biju Alexander, Divisional Manager, Prescription Eyewear.

Titan Eye Plus is the first national player in the prescription eyewear category to make its foray in north Karnataka.

Titan is India’s largest manufacturer of quartz watches and has a 60% market share in the Indian market. It is world’s sixth largest manufacturer of branded watches. It has a manufacturing and assembly unit at Hosur in Tamil Nadu.
