GE Shipping takes delivery of Newbuilding medium range product tanker

The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has taken delivery of a new building medium range product tanker 'Jag Punit' of about 49,700 DWT. The company had contracted to buy the ship in December, 2012.  The vessel is built at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding company, Jinhae in Korea.

With the inclusion of the vessel, the company's current fleet stands at 32 vessels, comprising 23 tankers (8 crude carriers, 14 product tankers, 1 LPG carrier) and 9 dry bulk carriers (1 capesize, 3 kamsarmax, 5 supremax), with an average age of 10.4 years aggregating 2.5 million DWT.

Great Eastern Shipping Company is engaged in shipping and offshore business. Its shipping business offers transportation services for crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities.
