Infosys trades in red on the BSE

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 2818.25, down by 14.80 points or 0.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 2833.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2823.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2852.00 and Rs. 2803.05 respectively. So far 32862 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3316.85 on 13-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2169.00 on 25-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2915.35 and Rs. 2803.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 161763.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 16.04% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.85% and 15.00% respectively. 

Infosys, a global leader in consulting and technology, and Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) marked the first classes of a new 18-week program to provide Infosys world-renowned software development training program to grow Detroit's technology talent pool. A job fair will follow the program, with Infosys and other prospective employers participating.

The Software Engineering Boot Camp is the result of a unique partnership between Infosys and WCCCD. Infosys, widely recognized for its software training programs and Corporate University, is now giving the same training to individuals in the Detroit metro area looking for rewarding new career opportunities in the fast growing technology field.

The Software Engineering Boot Camp will use methods developed at the Infosys Global Education Center to train entry level software engineers. With Detroit as an emerging information technology hub, Infosys selected Wayne County Community College District as its educational partner to launch training in southeast Michigan. In order to sustain this initiative, Infosys will enable and support WCCCD trainers to conduct the next few training programs for more participants.

WCCCD, the largest urban community college in Michigan, is a multi-campus district with five campus locations, University Center and the Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE), serving 32 cities and townships, spanning more than 500 square miles.
