Bajaj Auto aims to sell three lakh three-wheelers in FY17

Bajaj Auto is aiming to sell three lakh three-wheelers in the current fiscal, a growth of over 17% over the last fiscal. The company sold 2,54,967 three-wheelers during the 2015-16 fiscal.

During 2015-16, the company launched a new range of diesel vehicles which was well received by customers. The company saw its diesel passenger vehicles sales grow by 6% while the industry three-wheeler diesel passenger vehicle sales fell by 2%.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
