Bharti Airtel has unveiled its high speed 4G services in Shimoga, taking the number of its 4G towns in the Karnataka to 110. Now, customers across this region can experience high-speed wireless broadband on Airtel 4G. Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles.

In November 2015, the company has earmarked Rs 60,000 crore for network transformation and expansion program under 'Project Leap' for a three-year program.
