Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Thursday amidst acute short supplies in markets. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 139/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 135/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety improved to 136/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 132/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of May delivery firmed up to Rs 146.61 compared to its previous closing of Rs 142.50, while June delivery closed at Rs 146.52 compared to its previous close of Rs 142.64 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
