Bharti Airtel Ltd.

Bharti Airtel has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.

The company has posted a fall of 57.67% in its net profit at Rs 1618.6 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 3824 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 2.28% at Rs 15681 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 16048.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 2.79% in its net profit after taxes & minority interest  at Rs 1290.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 1255.3 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY15. Total income of the company increased by 8.43% at Rs 24983.10 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 23039.8 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 42.83% in its net profit at Rs 7546.5 crore as compared to Rs 13200.5 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company increased 1.81% at Rs 61785.8 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 60689.4 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted rise of 5.80% in its net profit after taxes and minority interest at Rs 5484.2 crore as compared to Rs 5183.5 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has increased by 4.87% at Rs 96619.2 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 92135.1 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
