11.65 (2.62%) Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 40.09 million tonnes (MT) in April 2016, as against target of 44.48 MT, a drop by 3.40%. The company’s total off-take for the month of April was down by 2.50% and stood at 42.45 MT as against a target of 51.46 MT.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
