Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

Hindustan Unilever has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.

The company has posted a rise of 7.02% in its net profit at Rs 1089.59 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 1018.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 3.27% at Rs 8027.91 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 7774.04 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 5.40% in its net profit at Rs 4082.37 crore as compared to Rs 4315.26 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company increased 3.39% at Rs 32487.8 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 31424.01 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 6.43% in its net profit after taxes and share of profit of associates at Rs 4082.42 crore as compared to Rs 4363.08 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company has increased by 3.23% at Rs 33591.04 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 32538.84 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
