Welspun Corp wins ‘International Safety Award - 2016’

Welspun Corp’s plant situated at Anjar, Gujarat has won ‘International Safety Award - 2016’ with merit by the British Safety Council, England & Wales for demonstrating a strong commitment to good health and safety management during the year 2015.

The company has also received certificate of honour under category V group A (Scheme II) from Gujarat Safety Council for achieving accident free 30 lakh Man Hour during the year 2014. Further, the company has also received certificate of honour under category V group A (Scheme I) from Gujarat Safety Council for achieving accident free 10 lakh Man Hour during the year 2014.

Welspun Corp is currently in four businesses viz Line Pipes, Energy, Infrastructure & Steel and enjoys a global leadership position in the first two businesses. It may be recalled that Welspun Corp is already in advanced stages of demerging the parts of its business other than Line Pipes into Welspun Enterprises through a court process.
