Gujarat State Petronet reports 49% rise in Q4 net profit

Gujarat State Petronet has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.

The company has posted a jump of 48.60% in its net profit at Rs 99.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 67.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased by 2.11% at Rs 244.99 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 250.26 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015. 

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a rise of 8.31% in its net profit at Rs 444.47 crore as compared to Rs 410.36 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company decreased 5.43% at Rs 1056.00 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1116.60 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015. 

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 4.45% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 464.66 crore as compared to Rs 486.30 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has decreased by 7.09% at Rs 1040.48 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1119.85 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
