Bharat Electronics (BEL) and Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) have signed an umbrella memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the aim of mutual co-operation and knowledge transfer in avionics. The MoU includes sharing of expertise in design, development, engineering and manufacturing between HAL and BEL in order to develop and produce advanced airborne communication, and electronic warfare systems.

BEL is a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit conglomerate with over 350 products in the areas of military communication, radars, naval systems, C4I systems, weapon systems, homeland security, telecom & broadcast systems, electronic warfare, tank electronics, electro-optics, professional electronic components and solar photovoltaic systems.
