Larsen & Toubro soars on reporting 23% rise in Q4 net profit

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1419.00, up by 127.70 points or 9.89% from its previous closing of Rs. 1291.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1404.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1436.45 and Rs. 1389.75 respectively. So far 6,73,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1886.25 on 17-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1016.60 on 12-Feb-2016.

Total income of the company has increased by 11.57% at Rs 21797.98 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 19538.05 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a rise of 5.05% in its net profit at Rs 5311.46 crore as compared to Rs 5056.18 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company increased by 4.86% at Rs 62185.58 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 59300.78 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
