M&M’s Farm Equipment Sector registers 21% rise in May domestic sales

Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the $16.9 billion Mahindra Group, has reported its sales numbers for May 2016. Domestic sales in May 2016 stood at 22,148 units, up by 21% as against 18,245 units during May 2015.

The company’s total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during May 2016 stood at 23,018 units, up by 20% as against 19,257 units for the same period last year. However, exports for the month stood at 1012 units, registering a fall of 14%.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
