Date: 29-03-2012National Thermal Power Corporation’s (NTPC) joint venture (JV) - NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company has commissioned Unit I of 500 MW of Vallur Thermal Power Project on March 28, 2012. With this, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 36,514 MW.
NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company is a joint venture between NTPC and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.
Recently, the company had signed a Commercial Interest Reference Rate (CIRR) based fixed interest rate term loan facility backed by Euler Hermes of 72.5 million euro with KfW, Germany on March 22, 2012.
