National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has received investment approval for Mouda Super Thermal Power Project (2 X 660 MW) to be implemented in the state of Maharashtra at an appraised current estimated cost not exceeding Rs 7,921.47 crore.

The company has also received investment approval for Solapur Super Thermal Power Project (2 X 660 MW) to be implemented in the state of Maharashtra at an appraised current estimated cost not exceeding Rs 9,395.18 crore. The board at its meeting held on March 19, 2012 has approved for the same.

Besides, NTPC has commissioned Unit-IV of 500 MW of Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project on March 30, 2012. With this, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 37,014 MW.
