Sonata Software’s Q1 net profit declines 20%

Sonata Software has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has decreased by 19.92% at Rs 11.90 crore as compared to Rs 14.86 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total operating income has dipped by 0.84% at Rs 62.43 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 62.96 crore for the same quarter last year.

On consolidated basis, the Group’s net profit after minority interest for the quarter has declined 73.10% at Rs 5.64 crore as compared to Rs 20.97 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total operating income has increased by 1.80% at Rs 338.77 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 332.77 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
