M&M’s arm SsangYong Motor sells 14,167 Units in June 2016

Mahindra and Mahindra’s (M&M) South Korean subsidiary SsangYong Motor has sold a total of 14,167 units in June 2016 - 9,750 units in domestic sales and 4,417 in exports including CKD kits. The company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in 2016, up 14.5% from a year earlier, helped by robust sales of Tivoli brand models - Tivoli and Tivoli Air (XLV).

Further, SsangYong’s domestic sales showed an upward trend for six consecutive months, up 15.8% compared to the same month last year thanks to the popularity of Tivoli brand models, which showed a rise of 57.3% YoY in sales. The company’s exports had its best month ever as well with an increase of 11.8% over June 2015, exceeding 4,000 units for the third straight month in June. SsangYong Motor pushes forward marketing activities to expand its global sales by holding launch events of Tivoli Air locally, and plans to launch in France followed by the U.K.
