Persistent Systems soars on reporting 31% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Persistent Systems is currently trading at Rs 690.00, up by 24.65 points or 3.70% from its previous closing of Rs 665.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 666.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 696.90 and Rs. 666.00 respectively. So far 8728 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 796.75 on 21-Mar-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 562.50 on 12-Feb-2016.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.70% and 27.22% respectively.

Persistent Systems has reported 5.17% rise in its net profit at Rs 79.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 75.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income increased by 25.48% to Rs 442.07 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 352.30 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 30.53% rise in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 73.29 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 56.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year . Total Income of the company increased by 40.79% to Rs 727.13 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 516.46 crore for the same quarter ended June 30, 2015
