UltraTech Cement advances on securing 95,000 tons of coal from Junadhi Mines

UltraTech Cement is currently trading at Rs. 3664.25, up by 33.50 points or 0.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 3630.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3646.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3690.00 and Rs. 3642.10 respectively. So far 8,419 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3696.40 on 26-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2581.15 on 18-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3696.40 and Rs. 3569.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,00,444.46 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.92% and 10.55% respectively.

UltraTech Cement has participated in the auction of coal linkages for cement sector and secured 95,000 tons of coal at a premium of Rs 80 per ton (over base price of Rs 970 per ton) from Junadhi Mines in Chhattisgarh.

The company intends to participate in the future linkage auctions for its plants located strategically near the coal mines.
