Physical rubber prices firm up on Saturday

Physical rubber prices turned firm on Saturday on the back of short covering and also tracking the gains in the domestic markets.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 216/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 214/kg, while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 213/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 211/kg.

In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for August delivery closed at Rs 217.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 215.64, while the contract for September delivery closed at Rs 217.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 215.55 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
