Cummins India reports 14% fall in Q1 net profit

Cummins India has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company has reported 14.27% fall in its net profit at Rs 181.18 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 211.35 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 5.04% at Rs 1300.58 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1369.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

Cummins India, the country’s leading manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines is one of the eight legal entities of the Cummins Group in India. Comprising of four business units - Industrial Engine, Power Generation, Distribution, and Automotive, Cummins India Limited is also the largest entity of the Cummins Group in India.
