Amara Raja Batteries reports 7% rise in Q1 net profit

Amara Raja Batteries has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company has reported a rise of 6.82% in its net profit at Rs 130.66 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 122.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 16.01% to Rs 1477.99 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1274.00 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Amara Raja Batteries is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. It was founded in 1985. ARBL was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
