Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL), is reportedly planning to shut its gasoil hydro-desulphuriser in first week of September for about two to three weeks for maintenance. The state-owned company will also shut its 1.2 million tonnes a year hydrocracker I unit from mid-September for about a month.
The company will use the opportunity to carry out minor maintenance at its catalyst reformer and its 100,000 bpd crude unit. The maintenance work will involve changing the catalyst at the gasoil unit and hydrocracker.
MRPL is engaged in the business of refining crude oil. It offers high speed diesel oil, fuel oil and motor spirit. It operates as a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. The company was founded in 1988 and is based in Mangalore, Karnataka.
