Suryalakshmi Cotton reports 32% jump in its Q1 net profit

Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has surged 31.96% at Rs 9.62 crore as compared to Rs 7.29 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total income has increased by 28.29% at Rs 162.56 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 126.71 crore for the same quarter last year.

Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills is one of the major players in the textile industry in South. It has modern spinning units at Amanagallu in Mahboobnagar district of Andhra Pradesh and a 40 million meter denim plant at Ramtek near Nagpur in Maharashtra.
