Power Grid Corporation of India has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company has reported 32.91% rise in its net profit at Rs 1801.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1355.64 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income increased by 30.61% to Rs 6259.30 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 4792.38 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
