Mahindra and Mahindra’s (M&M) South Korean subsidiary SsangYong Motor, has decided to recall the Rexton SUV in India.  The vehicles covered under this recall are all units of the Rexton SUV manufactured before September 2014. The company will contact the customers of the affected cars to fix the faulty rear driveshaft in the SUV. The inspection and subsequent corrective measures will be carried out free of cost. The Rexton marked the Korean manufacturer’s entry into the Indian market, back in 2012. Despite not being a volume seller, it has continued to be the company’s poster boy in India and has helped M&M keep the SsangYong brand alive here.
