Tata Global Beverages is reportedly planning to restructure its China’s operations as there are challenges in operations of the Chinese joint venture, Zhejiang Tata Tea Extraction Company. A call on the business will be taken in the coming years.

The Chinese joint venture has reported Rs 15.34 crore loss (before tax) and a turnover of Rs 3.08 crore till December 31, 2015.

Tata Global Beverages, formerly known as Tata Tea, is a multinational non-alcoholic Beverages Company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India and a subsidiary of the Tata Group. It is the world's second-largest manufacturer and distributor of tea. Tata Global Beverages markets tea under the major brands Tata Tea, Tetley, Good Earth Teas and JEMCA.
